Glowsearch: $19.99 with an action plan
Lite costs $9 a month less than Otterly Lite, about 31% less. You get ChatGPT, Claude (on Pro), Gemini and Google's AI Mode, your own questions from day one, and 10 drafts a month. Start your seven-day trial for $1.
Which assistants does each one cover?
Otterly's Lite plan includes Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google's AI Overviews, the summaries at the top of ordinary Google results.
Glowsearch's Lite plan includes Gemini and Google's AI Mode, the chat-style Google search. On Otterly those are $9 a month each. If ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode are the three you need, they come to $47 a month on Otterly Lite, against $19.99 on Glowsearch, with 25 more questions.
If you don't know which assistants your customers use, ask a few of them. Outside tech, ChatGPT and Google's AI answers are usually the place to start.
How often does each one check?
Otterly checks every prompt every day. Glowsearch Lite asks each question twice on each of ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode in every scan, and you choose how often it scans: 80 questions once a week, 40 twice, 25 three times or 10 every day.
Both approaches deal with the same problem: ask ChatGPT the same question twice and it often names different businesses. In our own scans, about half the businesses an assistant names show up in only one of its answers to a question.
Daily tracking gives you a reading every day, so you can follow a trend closely. Glowsearch on its default rhythm gives a reading twice a week, each built from two answers per question on each assistant. That suits a business making a handful of changes a month and checking whether they worked.
What does each one tell you to do?
Both show how often you're named and which pages the assistants cite.
Otterly's Lite plan adds three recommendations a week and 1,000 GEO URL audits a month.
Glowsearch turns every scan into an action plan, sorted by priority:
- Pages to get onto: review sites and "best of" lists the assistants cite that don't mention you.
- Threads to join: Reddit and forum threads the assistants cite.
- Pages to write or improve on your own site.
- Facts to correct: things the assistants say about you that your own site contradicts.
- Crawler fixes, when an AI crawler can't read your site.
For the outreach emails, forum replies and page text these actions call for, a drafting button writes a first version. Lite includes 10 drafts a month.
How are the answers collected?
Glowsearch asks ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode in real browsers, signed out and from your site's country, as a new customer would. Answers from a developer API can differ from what people see in the app, so we read the real pages. Nobody sees exactly what every customer sees: signed-in users get answers shaped by their history. Claude has no signed-out version, so on Pro it's asked through its API with web search switched on.
Which one should you choose?
