Who makes Glowsearch, and how we test

Glowsearch is made by Matvei Belov, its founder. He builds the product, runs the scans behind our research and writes the guides and comparisons on this site.

What is Glowsearch?

Glowsearch shows a business whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google's AI Mode recommend it when customers ask, who gets named instead, and which pages the assistants rely on. After every scan it turns that into an action plan, with drafts for each step. Plans start at $19.99 a month, with a seven-day trial for $1.

How do we collect AI answers?

• Real browsers, signed out. ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode are asked in real browsers, signed out and from the business's country, so the answer is the one a new customer would see. Developer APIs can answer differently.
• Every question twice. The same question often gets different businesses on a second ask, so one answer is a sample, not a result. In our scan of 628 answers about local services, where we asked each question three times, 35% to 59% of the businesses an assistant named in its first two answers appeared in only one of them.
• Claude through its API. Claude has no signed-out version, so on Pro we ask it through its API with web search on.

How do we check competitors' prices?

Every price on our comparison pages comes from the vendor's own pricing or help page, linked next to it, with the date we checked. We price one job on every tool (20 questions on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode, billed monthly, add-ons included) so the numbers can be compared. When a vendor changes its plans, we update the page and its date.

Do we favour our own product?

We make Glowsearch, and every comparison says so near the top. We recommend it for small businesses because of its price and its action plan. Where another tool covers more assistants, checks more often or suits a bigger team, the page says so and links to it.
